Updates and Matters for Members' Consideration

Nicolas Montoya is departing the Board of Directors
The remaining seven Board members have agreed to continue serving on the Board of Directors
Nominating Committee members Matty Roberts, Kyle Hanlin and Joy Ingallinera requested Committee chairperson and Board President Susan Bulluck to remain as President of the Board of Directors through 2026, at which time she will leave as Board president. She has agreed to continue as President with the caveat that an Executive Director be appointed to manage daily operations and functions of the Chamber and Visitors Center.
Chamber member and volunteer marketing coordinator Kyle Hanlin (Envision Communications LLC) has been nominated for appointment to Board of Directors. If approved, he has agreed to serve as Executive Director for the Chamber. Kyle built the Chamber website, launched and maintains the Chamber’s social media presences and has taken an active role in assisting with Chamber organization and function.
Chamber member Jim Wallace (Intracoastal Realty) will name a member of Intracoastal Realty’s leadership team to serve on the Board of Directors.
The Nominating Committee requests that members consider the expansion of the Board of Directors to as many as 11 members.
The Nominating Committee requests that members consider allowing the Committee to directly appoint members to the Board of Directors, up to 11 total directors, in 2026.

Nominating Committee Recommendations

The Nominating Committee of Board of Directors President Susan Bulluck (chairperson), Board member Matty Roberts and Chamber members Kyle Hanlin and Joy Ingallinera, recommends the following be approved by voice vote. Dissentions and floor nominations for Board of Directors will be heard.

Approve continued directorships of seven current members of the Board of Directors
Approve appointment of Kyle Hanlin (Envision Communications LLC) to the Board of Directors and as Executive Director
Approve appointment of (to-be-named leader) (Intracoastal Realty)
Approve Board of Directors expansion to as many as 11 Directors
Approve Nominating Committee to directly appoint new members of the Board of Directors, up to an 11-member Board

Nominations for Wrightsville Beach Board of Directors will be accepted until 5pm on Jan. 20, 2026. The Nominating Committee will notify membership of its selections ahead of the full membership meeting scheduled for Jan. 29, 2026.
